Office of the Dean Research has two units, namely Research Unit and Projects Unit. The Research Unit is concerned with all the activities related to admission and registration of students to research programmes offered by the University in different disciplines and departments, issuance of Academic Clearance Certificates for submission of M.Phil dissertation and Ph.D thesis and other matters related to research programmes.
The Projects Unit is responsible for implementation, monitoring and maintenance of accounts and assets of research projects, schemes, programmes funded by different funding agencies, Fellowship programmes, such as Ramalingaswamy Ramanujam, DBT-Welcome Trust, INSPIRE Faculty Fellowships and also the student research fellowships and research scholarships. Besides, Plan (CAPEX) and Non-plan research grants are also utilized under the supervision of this Office.
In fact, all the programmes and initiatives related to different facets of R&D are administered by the Office of Dean Research.
